Social Commitment
Lebenshilfe Lörrach
Lebenshilfe Lörrach was founded in 1964 as an association by parents of children with intellectual disabilities and is recognized as a non-profit organization. For its wide range of tasks, Lebenshilfe employs around 200 staff members as well as more than 150 volunteers and helpers. In its various services and facilities, over 600 children, adolescents, and adults in the district of Lörrach are supported and guided. The realization of self-determination and personal participation of people with disabilities is at the center of Lebenshilfe’s work. Lebenshilfe Lörrach represents the interests of people with disabilities and their families. It is an important point of contact in the district for all those who deal with people with disabilities.

Lebenshilfe is our production and shipping partner in the EU, and the Solvita Foundation serves as our shipping partner in Switzerland.
All products of Practomed GmbH are assembled in Lörrach from delivered individual parts. In production, we deliberately refrain from using harmful adhesives. All parts are simply slotted together. Otherwise, the work would not be possible for the employees of Lebenshilfe. We also contribute to environmental protection in this way. The finished products are packed and shipped by the employees of Lebenshilfe.
The employees work as independently as possible at all stations. In case of problems, they are actively supported by the helpers. The employees grow with their tasks. Some cannot read or write, so they often work in pairs in order to help each other. The goal of Lebenshilfe Lörrach is to support people with disabilities as employees, helping them to develop according to their abilities, up to integration into the general labor market.
We are very satisfied with the quality of the work and proud of the team’s performance!
